Front End North

Conference Organiser: Mar 2024 – present

I'm co-organiser of Front End North. A welcoming one-track, one-day conference for developers and designers who work on the web.

As co-organiser I mucked in for our 2025 event wherever I could be helpful. This often meant turning my hand to new skills. For example I supported marketing efforts, organising volunteers, and reviewing talk applications through our call for papers process.

In 2025 we welcomed 200 people to Sheffield for a fabulous day of talks from international industry leaders, followed by a unique social at the National Videogame Mueseum.

Branded lanyards ready to go. Top down view of an atrium, modern light and wood panelled, attendees mingle with coffee. A talk in progress, rows of attendees in the lecture hall. An attendee plays a classic game on an old CRT TV, at the National Videogame Museum. A Made in Sheffield sign indicates these games were made in Sheffield.
