Horrific note

Putin strides over with intent, the patrons of this little Irish pub are quaking. He grabs a man’s head, rips open the man’s face to access the inside, pulls out a grotesque, toothy little homunculus resembling its owner and covered in blood, then squashes it between the palms of his hands. He proceeds to close up the man’s face using his stubby little fingertips to smush the two halves back together - good as new, only now disfigured and vacant behind the eyes. Putin has no security with him, someone should probably do something, but I just watch in horror.
As well as Putin I met some new, jolly fun contemporaries in that little Irish pub and bumped into my ex for the first time in many many years. They served my lager (not Guinness?) in a little glass coffee cup as they were out of pint glasses, which is fair enough and felt quite classy.
Earlier in the day me and R visited my great grandmother’s bungalow only it had been totally renovated since her passing and would make a perfect family home.
We went on to the little Irish pub for dinner with a bunch of elderly relatives I didn’t really recognise, which was a super pleasant start to the evening.
And you know what happened after that.
Wild dreams Wednesday night folks.

In the real world:
- M&S give new parents free cake on Tuesday. I forgot to tell you about that outing last week. So many old ladies came to say hello and admire T. Apparently his Corrie namesake is a right piece of work but we all agreed T wouldn’t grow up like that.
- Back to work now! Tuesday felt like Thursday but Wednesday felt like Wednesday which I take to be a good sign. I’m working on a migration script which is non-trivial, working around tech debt and hammering out remaining business requirements, but still a nice little task to get back into the swing of things.
- The independence of the solo bus ride and co-working space felt weird. Good but weird. I do miss T a lot, even when I’m working just upstairs.
- Our freezer full of preprepared mush is coming into its own. Thai tofu curry, lentil bolognese, dhal, ratatouille, yes please! My colleagues kindly gifted us a FieldGoods voucher as well so we’ll keep the wholesome meals coming. All the more time and energy in the evening for Traitors / bath time. We’ve introduced a little soap and T is getting closer and closer to actually enjoying it maybe.
- The allotment is looking well but not much is growing. Caesar continues to eat her own eggs despite space, enrichment, and calcium supplements. They are tasty so who can blame her? So far I’m the only one fooled by the rubber decoy eggs. I’ve managed to sow some kale seeds but they’re yet to germinate. Got just 3 little tomato seedlings. Some potato sets sowed, some not, nothing emerged. Nowt else on the annual front. So ahead of where I could have hoped with a newborn around but well behind previous years! The backup plan is broadcast green manures 🌾🌸
