Theatrical Note

Authored

  • We went to see The Good Person of Szechwan this week. I wasn't so sure to begin with but enjoyed it more and more, it was good fun, a welcome laugh.
  • During my considered hiatus from weeknotes we went to see Standing at the Sky’s Edge which was, by contrast, incredible – eight Olivier Award nominations incredible.

  • The weekend has been excellent, full of good food (the labneh!) and outdoor activities. Some of our friends visited; both my Men, equally the best; along with their partners who are also close friends, though due to the patriarchy neither of them have an official position at our wedding. We should make a new one, Esteemed People of The Bride and Groom.
  • One of my men helped me build a coldframe at the allotment 🙌
  • We also collected wild garlic from a walk, which I've turned into a pesto today.
Cut wild garlic on a kitchen counter, sat it a glass of water. The glass features Henderson's Relish, 'strong and Northern'.
    Wild garlic, pre-pesto.
  • Hope you'll enjoy my breath as much as I'll enjoy the pesto.
