Squash Note

• Reflecting for my first year note felt a bit like starting an actual new year, so;
• I finally signed up for a cycle confidence course that'll hopefully get me used to cycling on the road and zipping about.
• I started up running again. I did my usual 5k route but with a few pauses and lots of wheezing. The result: my nipples on fire! 😳 A danger of running in the cold and the rain I was unaware of.
• I joined the gym. I haven't been yet. Classic.
• Halloween: Devils, ghosts, ghouls, and dinosaur skeletons came from nowhere and took all the chocolates. We underestimated the number of neighbourhood children. We stood no chance.
• We finished watching Squid game. I know you've seen it or you've already been told to watch it. Do - and definitely watch with subtitles rather than the dub.
• Loved Rowan’s year note – love the collage of photos at the end, and I should definitely add web mentions to my site.
• Very sad to see Cait leave. We never worked together directly and only talked a handful of times, but it means a lot to trust your boss's boss's boss's boss (edit: oops, I had missed a boss). The leaving speeches were both touching and funny, even though I missed the barely perceptible in-joke (sad blob).
• Our offer was accepted on a house! It apparently wasn't the highest either, which is nice, it makes me feel less worried about offering a ludicrous amount... like someone else was more ludicrous... hurray! 🤞
