Oat Note

• Huge news! Massive news! I finally tracked down that famous Come Dine With Me episode on the internet 🤣 Dear Lord, what a sad little life.
• It was our anniversary last week which involved sitting at home feeling a bit sneeze-y and miserable and stressed and fraught about the home buying / figuring out the trajectory of our lives over the next decade situation. We'll try to celebrate again next week, there's a certain Indian restaurant with our name on it. 😋
• Over the weekend we hosted R's parents. Their dad studied at the University of Sheffield some moons ago so we went on a nostalgia tour. We took the chance to swing by the Arts Tower and go up the paternoster lift, the largest surviving one in the UK. Fun but not again thanks. It would be so me to get mixed up on the floor numbers and end up mangled 😅
• We made the most of car access to pop to Bakewell and try a Bakewell Pudding, as distinct from the tart. They're delicious! I was also keen to pickup some Derbyshire Oatcakes and oh my, they're so good. Why aren't these widely available!? They're nice in the same context as a pancake but also have the utility of a wheat wrap, with added substance. I'm going to buy more and put everything, everything, in an oatcake wrap. Everything.
