Timely Note

Authored

This week, inspired by an iFixit teardown of a similar Withings watch model, I cracked open my beloved, broken smart watch.

Sadly I couldn't have a full poke around as I ruined the head on one of the fifteen (15!) teeny screws and couldn't remove it. They were so so tiny, I almost lost one.

Tiny tiny screw, so tiny on top of a fingertip. A couple of millimetres long?

Not to worry though, they just needed tightening a little.

Et voilà! A watch that tells the time again. ♥️

A right to repair feels like an important part of tackling climate change. I'm feeling inspired to explore The Restart Project, and maybe attend a Restart Party in the future!

On the other hand, I had talked myself around to a shiny upgrade. It would be a shame if I were to drop my watch from a height again 😇
