Idle Note
Authored
- Christmas was different, but nice.
- I enjoyed making Christmas crackers for two, with cute little decorations from Silverpasta inside.
- Santa bought me slippers. I wasn't sure at first but am now a full convert.
- I've been able to just about hang on to running, less frequently and less far but still somewhat consistently and that's what matters. I started running ages ago with goodgym. Running with others in a supportive environment helped me get over public exercise self consciousness — lunging with strangers outside Whole Foods a few times will do that. I moved house though and stopped running. Until last year when I picked up couch to 5k, which is a brilliant app to develop a running habit.
- Outside of running once or twice a week I've been eating a lot, sleeping a lot, and watching a lot. Notably Pixar's new movie, Soul. It has some of that Pixar magic. 💛
- Friends on Twitter seem to be refreshed and productive. I. Am. Not. There. And would rather lay in a corner, perhaps with cake, until May. Solidarity to anyone feeling the same.
- Hopefully by May me and these weeknotes will be more energised and interesting. Until then, daim cake please. Happy new year reader 🤞
