Sam's portfolio presented similar challenges to that of Zach's portfolio. Working to Sam's design I built a Perch CMS based website that could meet his needs. Don't forget to check out Sam's graphic design work, looks good doesn't it.

  • Development from external design.
  • Perch CMS based development.
  • Built to respond to different screen resolutions.
  • Lightweight, JavaScript free development.

At times it was challenging to provide Sam with the reconfigurability he required whilst also ensuring consistent front-end appearance to meet the provided design. For instance, it was surprisingly difficult to build the gallery grid when the configuration and order of those images needed to be variable by Sam and of various aspect ratios. I was able to achieve the desired result whilst keeping Sam's CMS interface simple by approaching the problem from a different angle, making use of none-obvious CSS attributes.

Working with an external design proved a positive experience. Sam was very gracious in his feedback, it seems I was able to meet the requirements of the site well.
